What’s a moment when you realized you were officially
anadulta grouchy old lady?
Maybe this is just another aspect of Eldest Daughter Syndrome, but I’m annoyed at family members who have provided little to no information about what to expect at a wedding we’re spending thousands of dollars to travel to next month.
Information that has not yet been provided:
Where is the wedding being held?
Is it inside or outside?
What should we wear?
What food will be served?
What’s happening the night before?
The only firm information I have is that there will be an “after party” at a bar in Brooklyn that runs til midnight and that children are not welcomed at any of it.
Harumpf.

I’ve officially become the old guy that’s says “I don’t understand these young folks” out loud. There just seems a better way of doing things that young people fail to see.
There also seems to be an unnecessary childish layer added to shit. But then again, I guess that’s what being young is suppose to be about I’m ok taking that last line off of my list of shake my head complaints.

I guess every generation must feel this way at some point. My pet peeve in the office was when they wouldn’t just go and TALK to one another to resolve stuff. Or pick up the actual phone. They’ll text or Teams/Slack message each other to death…where all manner of misunderstandings ensue.

I think I’ve officially reached “Karen” status as well and that for sure comes with age lol

Yup, that comes just before grouchy old lady. 50s are your prime Karen years.

Sounds like poor planning not to provide such information to wedding guests. Hope you find out soon.

LOL, I’m reminded of that phrase “these kids today!!!” never a compliment as I’m sure you recognized. You’ll have to post after the wedding to let us know what it was all about.
