A woman-owned small business

If you could start a new business right now, what would it be?

I’m retired and have no plans to start a business. However, I’m super proud of my daughter who has turned a passion into a career.

She is a professional astrologer with her own successful business—lunarxluci.com—and a large following on social media, particularly TikTok and also Instagram. She has been featured in publications such as Good Housekeeping and has endless excellent reviews from clients.

In addition to written and video readings, she recently created a downloadable, self-paced Astrology 101 course. It includes 10 in-depth video lessons (about 7 hours), companion workbooks, PowerPoint slides, and 3 celebrity chart breakdowns. By the end, students will understand how to read a birth chart and have the confidence to interpret their own and others’ charts.

So, if you have a new or longstanding curiosity about Astrology and how it can empower you, please check out my daughter’s offerings. A reading or the new Astrology 101 course would also make a great gift for someone in your life who likes Astrology and wants to learn more. You’d also be supporting a hardworking young woman entrepreneur (and mom) with her own small business.

  1. Mary, this was such a joy to read. What stands out to me is not just that your daughter built a successful business, but that she built it around a craft she genuinely understands, the kind of thing clients can feel in those endless excellent reviews. Turning a passion into a livelihood is hard enough; doing it while caring for a daughter full-time is something else entirely. As someone building a small company myself, I can say the early days of figuring out offerings, courses, and reviews take real grit, and having a proud mom amplifying the work matters more than she probably knows. I hope the Astrology 101 course finds all the curious students it deserves. Congratulations to you both.

  2. Good on your girl! My last job role before retirement was working in a Health and Wellness College that revolved around metaphysics. Although much of it was beyond my comprehension and grasp I had never worked with a more caring and supportive group of people. We still catch up every six months, nearly ten years down the track. Best of luckto your daughter.

    1. Thanks May! And how nice that those folks were such special colleagues for you. I’ve noticed that the Astrology community my daughter has developed through her social media are very kind and supportive of one another. I never see any mean comments below her posts.
