Rosie O’Donnell on 60 Minutes

As I’ve already mentioned, I’m 💯% Team Rosie so I watched her interview on 60 Minutes Australia with great interest.

I did not love the guy who interviewed her. He seemed smug. (And what the heck is a “jelly” in Australia. Was that some sort of an insult in his opening? Maybe Brizzy May can explain.)

I thought Rosie did pretty well under the circumstances. She still managed to be funny and light in a very serious situation. She’s basically a United States artist and citizen living in exile due to fear of retribution from the President of the United States. It’s so fucked up.

What do you think?

  1. The fellow doing the interview is Karl Stefanovich, a renown dipstick. Smug, cocky, arrogant – nothing that a bunch of fives wouldn’t fix. Never heard the jelly expression before. Told you, dipstick.
As for Rosie : WOW! This is what all mature women should be like, non of this shrinking into the background business. She thinks, stands up for herself and others, she cares, and she looks comfortable in her skin. Rosie all the way! ( I might even buy tickets to the show.)

    1. Yes! Old Karl has a very punchable mug. I’m glad Australians agree 🤣
And Ooo…let me know if you go to Sydney for her show. I really want to see it! I guess it was a big hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

  2. Thanks for posting the 60 Minutes clip. Growing up, I’d never been a huge Rosie fan. A lot of that was based upon random clips I’d see of her. I didn’t mind her as an actress, though. I thought she did a pretty good job. But I’d never spent time on her other than the random clips. This interview was such a departure to what my perception of her was. I appreciated her demeanor and she felt like a real person. I watched the entire interview and now see her in a different light.
