Rough estimate, but I sleep from around 10:30 pm to around 6:30 am.
If I wake up and see a 4 or a 5 (or god forbid a 3) as the first number on my watch, I try to go back to sleep.
I’ve been known to Hurkle-Durkle until well past 8, but not that often.

A spectacular painting by Firelei Báez, now on display at ICA/Boston—I love how you don’t see the horses at first.

Heheheh same but sometimes only, and mostly I woke up early at around 4:00 A.m to 5:30 or 6 like that❤️

As we age, sleep can be elusive. “Hurkle-Durkle” is a wonderful term. Guilty as charged! That is quite the painting.

Haha Laurie & thanks. I’m learning that fact about aging. (Kids can sleep anywhere and forever…jealous!) That painting is huge, so even more impressive in the gallery.

Thanks for reviving hurkle durkle. I’d forgotten about that one! And the painting is really cool. I took a closer look and saw more horses than I thought I would!
