So here’s my cinquain:

I should probably drink less coffee, but I do love it. Sometimes I can feel it make my heart race. I have 2-3 cups in the moring and usually another one around 3pm to motivate me for the afternoon. I find if I drink coffee in the afternoon, I’m much more likely to close all three rings on my Apple Watch.

Are you tired of hearing about Paris yet? (Apologies in advance) Our hotel had an in-room espresso maker. Espresso is not satisfying for me. My husband enjoyed it, but I like to sip on hot coffee for an extended period of time. (That’s why I really like my Ember smart mug.) While in Paris, I took the tiny French elevator down to the lobby each morning for a “coffee long” from the fantastic machine they had there. It made everything from espresso to cappuccino, with “coffee long” being the closest thing to American coffee. I typically made two trips to the lobby each morning, as I need at least two cups of coffee to get out the door in the morning.

While sipping my coffee longs, I enjoyed these incredible views from our room – Room 802.

What brands do you associate with?

I’m a New Englander, so definitely LL Bean. Their return policy is amazing. They’ll take anything back, forever. I also like Land’s End and Eddie Bauer.

For cars, I’ve driven Hondas for years now. I really love my CRV.

What other brands matter – besides clothes and cars?

Oh yeah. Coffee. As previously mentioned, I’m Boston-centric, so Dunkin not Starbucks.

Two colors most people would never wear together are pink and orange, but somehow it works for Dunkin.

What’s your favorite time of day?

I like the morning coffee hour, but only if it doesn’t start too early. If I’m up at 5am drinking coffee, I consider that a sleep failure.

A couple years ago, my nephews gave me an Ember smart mug. I didn’t know if I’d like it, but I do. It keeps your coffee at the right temperature, so you can sip it slowly and not have to reheat it in the microwave.

Mornings are all possibilities, no regrets, as long as you slept well.

My set-up. Cute little cactus and candle were gifts from my thoughtful daughter. My sister-in-law crocheted the coaster.
