Yeah, I hope we can at last get our act together in Europe to build a strong defence against Russia. What’s happening in the US with the current administration is a disgrace. Aligning with Russia is an abomination. Keep your spirits up 🤗
When I was a kid, I would play my older brothers chess/stratego/Battleship. They were older and wiser and would usually beat me. There’d come a point where they would know where my flag or battleship was located. It was all so frustrating because there was really no way to stop them. I feel that frustration lately — but there’s no older or wiser wisdom. It’s the fox in the henhouse. Hoping against hope Mary that smarter heads will eventually prevail!!!!

I read a detailed article in a reputable publication about how the GOP members who know better (the older and wisers) are truly afraid of political violence from MAGA supporters. They’re voting for Trump nominees and policy out of actual fear for their safety. It almost feels like we’ve already lost the republic.
I think you’re right. They saw what happened to Liz Cheney. On the violence, who knows? But they certainly don’t want to lose Trump’s endorsement and Musk’s moneybags!
It’s none of our business from the other side of the world, though the general consensus is “what were the Americans thinking?” We are probably hearing/ seeing only what the media wants us too, but it isn’t pretty. Hold the faith my friend.
