If I were describing myself to someone who doesn’t know me, but had to pick me up at the airport, I’d say: I’m a tall woman with a red (or whatever color) shirt or jacket.
I’m 5 ft 8.5 in, so I’m not WNBA tall, but I’m taller than most women and some men. I usually avoid wearing heels, wedges, or stacked shoes. I don’t like towering over people.
Two places I’ve visited where I did not feel particularly tall are Chicago and Helsinki (Finland). Are they taller in the Midwest and Scandinavia? Maybe.

I used to be average, but in my elder years, I have shrunk and am now considered short. Sigh.

Haha, good point Laurie. I don’t fear shrinking with age.

I’d like to go back someday – in summer – it was unbelievably freezing 🥶 when I went

I guess I don’t mind the pelts in general, it’s just the face and paws that are unusual. It’s interesting seeing them hang like that!

Right! They turned the jaws into an actual clasp for the stole, so it looked like the fox was biting its own tail, when they wrapped it around their necks. A bit creepy.

Whoa… you know, my first reaction was it’s a little creepy to have that head dangling around your neck. The clasp thing, biting it’s own tail is over the top!

Finland now is not like Finland circa 1980’s. You’d be hard pressed to see 1 person wearing animal fur these days. Food range is completely western with nearly limitless choices of international cuisine. Trollies still in Helsinki 😀 Fazer chocolates and Hesburger still cranking out their deliciousness. Prices across the board quite high. Still the happiest place to live in all the world.
